As for the split ends, get a haircut. Cutting your hair gets rid of the split ends. If it is too curly, try a frizz-controlling shampoo, or talk to your heardresser for a specific type of treatment.

Bleaching or stripping will weaken and damage your hair especially if it's not done correctly so I would suggest you get it professionally done.
And even then, don't be surprised if you can't get it to platinum without it doing A LOT of damage.

Why do I get new growth so fast!!!???
I get a perm once a month because I get new growth so fast. My roots grow so fast and it gets really thick, especially in the back. Sometimes I sweat my perm out a lot in the roots. I was told that getting a perm once a month isn't good, but what am I supposed 2 do when I get new growth so fast?

I want to get my hair relaxed but it makes my hair look oily. my mom says i have to wait 1 WHOLE week to get my hair relaxed but i don't know why. It feels good but it looks extremely oily. hi used to have very thick hair up until a year ago when suddenly my hair started growing in every direction, the top of the hairs would either stick straight up or come would start curling and they very tip. also the hairs on my side stick straight out and wont lay flat also my hairs on the back of my head stick straight out instead of flat and some every curve away from the my head. i dont know how to fix this! please help!

is it possible to bleach all my at a salon hair after ive had a japanese hair straightening process done to my hair 81/2 months ago from now,and ive recently dyed my hair black twice a few days ago[lol yes i know alot of chemicals are being put in my hair] ,but i now want to get all my hair bleached in 1 MONTH from now and obviously im going to need to correct the color after i have it bleached so i can have pale platinum blonde hair,so i mean will doing that to my hair be TO damaging like will my hair fall out?!? or get broken off or something IF I DO IT IN A MONTH FROM NOW AND IVE HAD THE JAPANESE STR8IN IN MY HAIR 81/2 MONTHS AGO??!!and PLEASE no1 tell me that i should wait longer then that cuz im going to greece after a month and i want to go there with my new look ready so is it possible to get it like that without having hair loss???please answer lol !thx

I'd be so carefully bleaching your hair it's so harmfull for your hair but if your hair can take it then thats cool...if you're a natural brunette then keeping the roots at bay are a freakin nightmare, like every 2 weeks they'll need doing...where in greece are you going? sorry im nosy lol i went greece last year (crete) weather was HOT and the place was amazing, i miss it so much!!! have a great time! :)

I used to dye my hair black and i wanted to go blonde without going to a salon, so I bleached it a bunch of times but my hair is pretty strong. If you go to a salon they might tell you that it wont come out too blonde that its a long process which is true. I got my hair to be blonde myself but at first it was an orangy brassy color if that happens you can buy a toner so that it looks more natural. they might be able to do it at a salon but its gonna damage your hair a lot but there's always treatments and conditioners that make your hair feel stronger. If you end up doing that just remember your hair is stronger when its dry so don't brush it when its wet after you bleach it because your hair will tear try blow drying then brushing.

you can try to get it pretty straight if you section it, and you use a paddle or round brush while blow drying and a good straightening balm or serum

after you have a shower at night..brush your hair (while its still wet) ...and then make to braids (like pigtails) and make sure you use all your hair ..tie them at the end and then in the morning take them out..WOOOH laaaa ...i always do it ..it looks great

The easiest way and least damaging is to get blonde extensions.
Black to blonde requires stripping and bleaching which is damaging to your hair.
Black hair to platinum?
You can get a bleach kit from Sally's or a similar store.
You may need to use a toner to get that platitnum look, but the bleach will take the black out.

If your hair is naturally black you might have a difficult time as its very hard to lighten hair more then 3 shades and have it remain soft and managable.

Reply:It's really easy. I do my best friend's hair all the time, and this has been her hairstyle for like, the past 2 months. Buy the dye at a beauty salon, or even get the boxed kind at walmart. You just part it horizontally in the back (really straight, if you want a distinct contrast between layers, or zig zag between layers if you want it choppy looking) and bring the part all the way to right behind your ears. Then, pull the top layers of your hair up reaalllllyyyy high and dye the bottom with a super light blonde. (NOT bleach if you re-do your hair a lot, or it'll be really damaged) Then, if you have that section of your blonde hair all bundled up in some sort of bun of processing hair dye, get someone else to help you dye the top part black while the blonde is processing, because they will probably be done at the same time if you put the blonde in first. If you're not really skilled with hair dye, your best bet would be to wait until the blonde is done, but still make sure you don't get any of the black hair dye in it. Once you're done, if you style it right and have the right kind of layers, it should look like the picture when you tease it. Voila.

Either way when going from dark to blonde blonde it takes a couple of times because it turns out a brassy orangish color at first and then you have to go over it and bleach it again but you have to wait in between the bleaches or you will fry your hair.
Reply:You have to bleach your hair. It does destroy your hair so keep that in mind. Going from a dark color to platinum blonde I heard is difficult. Go for it if that's what you want to do. Reply:It's really easy. I do my best friend's hair all the time, and this has been her hairstyle for like, the past 2 months. Buy the dye at a beauty salon, or even get the boxed kind at walmart. You just part it horizontally in the back (really straight, if you want a distinct contrast between layers, or zig zag between layers if you want it choppy looking) and bring the part all the way to right behind your ears. Then, pull the top layers of your hair up reaalllllyyyy high and dye the bottom with a super light blonde. (NOT bleach if you re-do your hair a lot, or it'll be really damaged) Then, if you have that section of your blonde hair all bundled up in some sort of bun of processing hair dye, get someone else to help you dye the top part black while the blonde is processing, because they will probably be done at the same time if you put the blonde in first. If you're not really skilled with hair dye, your best bet would be to wait until the blonde is done, but still make sure you don't get any of the black hair dye in it. Once you're done, if you style it right and have the right kind of layers, it should look like the picture when you tease it. Voila.

Its all about the haircut. Take your favorite emo styles from a magazine. Take it to your hairstylist and tell them you want the style. They may suggest some straightening. Flat iron it or blow it out. Most emo hair styles require this anyway.
If you don't want any straightening at all cost, cut your hair in a longer version of the style you want so the hair hangs at the same length curly, as the person with straight hair. There are inevitably some styles that won't work especially if your hair is super tight curly.

Its all about the haircut. Take your favorite emo styles from a magazine. Take it to your hairstylist and tell them you want the style. They may suggest some straightening. Flat iron it or blow it out. Most emo hair styles require this anyway.
If you don't want any straightening at all cost, cut your hair in a longer version of the style you want so the hair hangs at the same length curly, as the person with straight hair. There are inevitably some styles that won't work especially if your hair is super tight curly.

Do NOT spike it. At your age, I HATE spiky hair on males. Is your hair short? If it is, I like hair that's a BIT longer (hair over ears, bangs just above the eyebrows, no part, etc...) And just, you know, hanging there. But it HAS to look just right...Make sure you wash it, so it doesn't look greasy and horrible, and comb it GOOD!

also remember, to always use some sort of conditioner, and dont shampoo your hair too much, or else it will go very dry and damaged.
shampoo after your hair feels a bit moist naturally [but dont wait till it gets oily!]
