HAIR PROBLEM!!!!!???? Need Help!!?

Hi, I really need some help!!!

My hair has never been dyed so it's a natural shade (dark blonde/very light brown).

My problem is that I get really oily roots so often that I have to wash my hair everyday and it's starting to become a pain, but I have very dry, split ends.

How do I stop my roots becoming oily without drying out the rest of my hair??? Conditioner doesn't really work, but I use the "Oily roots and dry ends" shampoo from Garnier. What I like most about this shampoo is it brings out the natural blonde highlights in my hair, while other shampoos make my hair a boring brown colour.

Please help, my hair dresser recommends salon shampoos and conditioners and I trust her and all but I don't want to spend a fortune on hair products.

Sadly, the expensive salon stuff is the way to go if you wan't it to stop.
Reply:yea washing your hair too often dries it out. try biolage hydration shampoo and conditioner. its really good and itll help. but a quick fix to oliy hair when you dont have time to wash it is to put some baby powder in your hair and rub it in. the powder absorbs oil
Reply:no soloutons
Reply:Get your ends trimmed more often?
Reply:don't use shampoo ever day..you must carefully choose a salon .
Reply:Salon products are not necessary.

First off, you should wash your hair only every other day. On the "Wash Day", use conditioner ONLY on the ends of your hair so that you aren't adding more oils to your scalp. On the "Off Day" only rinse your hair in the shower - no shampoo - and then, again, put conditioner on the tips. You can use a super conditioning formula if you ONLY put it on the ends. I like to use either Pantene Ultra Moisturizing, Sunsilk, or Herbal Essences.

Another idea, do a serious deep conditioning treatment on the ends once a week. This is not hard or expensive - you can do it at home! Usually, these are treatments that you apply to the ends and leave in for 3-5 minutes, then rinse out and go about your business. My absolute favorite is St. Ives Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner. They also make a leave-in to wear everyday that repairs as you wear it.

Also, try to use the blow dryer and other heat products as little as possible. (I know - that can be hard.) Every bit of heat dries out your hair.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
