Honestly, it doesn't matter what you buy. No matter what, it will all be the same, uniform length. You really can't mess up.

remember the comb attachments are all different lengths and plenty of ppl do their own at home so if its jus a standard shave you want then i think its perfectly cool to do this at home - if you got a mate or mum to do it for you even better - safer tht way x
Reply:I shave my own head on a regular basis. I've used a few different types of clippers. Right now, I'm just using my little conair beard trimmer. Since you're not doing anything fancy, just shaving, it shouldn't make too much difference.
Reply:I think you should do it. I'm sure you have experience with it. It's your hair, so why not? In a way it's all the same, right?

Hope this helped!
Reply:I know that haircuts cost outrageous, but don't you think you should let a professional cut it?

I think you're reason for cutting your hair is admirable. lol

You may make a mistake with your hair, or not. If you are accustomed to doing it yourself it would be all right.
Reply:that will work. It won't actually shave your head, but it can get it short.
Reply:This is perfectly fine to do at home.

I'm not familiar with this model, so I can't say for certain. Some home clippers are a little under-powered when compared to the professional models. They will work. You may need to slow down so the clipper blades can cut efficiently. Too fast, they may pull your hair and fail to cut well. One very important thing is to keep the blades oiled. It improves the cutting immensely.

One other hint I would offer is to see if you can have a friend help. When you do this yourself, you may need to hold the clipper at an odd angle, especially in back. Sometimes you'll miss a stray hair here or there. A friend can help you get an even result.
