Split Ends?

i have sooooo many split ends





my hair is 7 inches below my shoulder





if i cut of all my split ends my hair will be 1 inch below my shoulder





and i want long hair





what happends if you have split ends





do you have to cut them off





i probz wont so will that really matter

why do you think you got split ends?


use a straightener too much or something?
Reply:They will just keep splitting higher and higher, and your hair will become very frizzy because of it.
Reply:You dont have to cut them off but if you get a trim at your hairdressers m sure they will cut them of you can also get special smoothing serums and creams for your hair to take them away

The best thing for split ends is to definately cut them off, but you really only need to cut off 1 inch =) Split ends can only get as big at 1 inch, or maybe a little bit higher, but they cant grow to be 5 inches!





So if you can. just go into the hair salon and get 1 inch cut off. Your hair will look much healthier riht away, and those nasty split ends will be gone =)

Reply:My advice would be to cut your hair now, if you leave it any longer the split ends will travel further up the hair shaft and the condition of your hair will get worse and worse. Don't worry as it will grow back quickly and it will feel and look so much healthier and glossier. It will be the best thing for your hair.
Reply:I totally understand your dilemma. I had the same experience. but do cut the split ends. You will feel sorry for your "short" hair. but you will be happy soon, becuase your hair have no split ends. Anyway, hair grows fast.
Reply:never brush wet hair with a hairbrush! always use a comb when wet and a hairbrush when dry. at salons you can get split endz creams that really do work. and brush from the bottom an slowly to the top of your head, if you brush from the top -down then you probibly end up ripping through nots creating split ends.
Reply:You don't have a disease don't worry lol...You cannot mend split ends no matter what any products claim...the only way to get ride of them is to have them cut off...but to leave your hair feeling and looking slightly healthier, use a deep conditioner every day until you notice an improvement...cut down on the use of heated appliances and shampoo your hair only every other day at the most...the best deep conditioner is tresemme if you are on a budjet...if not, try joico k pak or paul mitchell instant moisture treatment...I suggest gettin an inch cut off your hair too, just to make it that bit more healthy./..then wait for the rest to grow down and get half an inch cut every few months...so you dont have to lose too much of your length...hope i helped xo

trim ur split ends of..soo u can still have long hair.


do not straighten your hair for a couple of days.


then by a product that stop split ends from happening when u straighten your hair.

One inch below your shoulder is still considered long. Don't worry, it'll grow back in no time.

Reply:Okay, well you can't get rid ofthe split ends you already have without cutting them off.





after you cut them off you can prevent them reoccuring though. if you straighten your hair alot.. you can use a protectant.. it comes and a gel or spray which you put in your hair before you straighten it and helps with the heat damage.. You can also use a straightening serum which helps your hair go smoother and atraighter for longer.. then use an intensive conditioning shampoo and conditioner for dry or damaged hair.. if you have a problem with frizzy or curly hair then use one with anti frizz stuff in it.

Reply:Nothing will repair split ends(Except giving them a trim.) If you leave the split ends in your hair, They will go up the strand, resulting in Breakage, and you won't be able to have long hair....Your using a Straightner twice a day?...That's half your problem, It's damaging and causes split ends.
