i have curly hair It's extremly thick. I can't even wear it down with lots of hair products. When i put my hair down everyone flips because it's so thick. It takes 1 hour and a half to straighten it with the biggest flat iron and hottest temp. In don't know how to fix it if someone can help that would be so awesome. Please and thank u

Help!Hair trouble?
If u want it straightened and thinered, have it relaxed or rebonded. It will be thin in no time! Hope I helped! (^_^)
Reply:Bummer...mabey you could try getting it cut in a style that makes it thinner...like some kinda layers that makes it thinner...you should talk to your hairstylest soon about getting a special cut to make it thinner...
Reply:thick hair is good! but yeah it sounds maybe a little too thick. soo you should go ot the hairdressers, and tell them you want it thinned-they have thinning scissors. also, if you want it thinner, add some layers to your hair.
Reply:get it cut in layers and try to striaght in it often or get a stright perm
Reply:I have dry, coarse, damaged hair from blowdring and coloring over the years. It can get wavy and is usually moderately frizzy. I have tried to relax my hair (chemically) myself and it fried it. I, too, blow dry my hair straight and a straightrning iron doesn't do too much - mainly makes it drier and limp. I have had it professionally done and it came out ok - the person had alot of experience
Suggestions
1. Go to a hairdressor that has experience in CHEMICALLY relaxing hair (i.e. - don't do it yourself) and get their opinion. I knew a girl who had hair that sounds like yours and she had it professionally (chemically) relaxed and it was a miracle - it looked so good.
2. The best product I have found that makes my hair soft is Ion Reconstructor Treatment available at Sally Beauty Stores. I left it on overnight and the results - WOW - my hair was soft and smooth. I have some on right now!
3. There is a fairly new product called Curlaway. It is a "relaxer" that is safe. You don't even need gloves. I tried it - and I noticed my hair to be alittle straighter/smoother. But even the product claims it takes the product time to work - like several applications - and they seem to show best results when the product is used in combination with a straightening iron.
If you don't color your hair, I would suggest #1 - but again, ask the professional hairdresser. It may be costly but worth it in the long run.
I am with you all the way - Good luck!
