My hair is always curly?

I'm trying to get the edges of my hair straight, but my flat iron isn't working! People have told me to use like a pomade and smooth in on my hair, and to brush it down and tie it with a scarf, but that doesn't work. It's still curly, and nappy looking, while the rest of my hair is straight. I need to touch up my relaxer, but I just dyed my hair again, so I have to wait a few more weeks.


What can I do to get the edges of my hair, like the hairline straight?

The aveda smoothing shampoo works great. Ive always had the same problem as you but now my hair is alot straighter in the morning, then when i straighten it there is no curls. Also you should get a chi if you dont already, if you do then try a paul mitchell.

You should blow-dry your hair immediately after you get out of the shower. Also, try using Sleek gel for straightening hair. Good luck. my whole head of hair is curly.
Reply:Its probably cos ur hair is thick or has alot of moisture. Try just putting hair grease on your scalp and not your hair then straighten it. If that doesnt work, blowdry it and steam it then straighten it and take your time doing so. Dont be impatient.
