When is the next time I shuld get a perm?

I'm african american and I got a perm in the middle of may. When is the next time I shuld get another one? I usually get them once a month but I think that's stoppin my growth process?.? Advice please. I just want it 2 be healthy and grow by the end of the summer.

Nooooooo, getting a perm every month is doing SO, so, so, SOOOOO much harm to your hair!


I'd say every 6 months but then again, it depends on the type of perms you get. Some perms have different chemicals which are meant to last longer while some are just temporary. I got a perm once and I didn't have to perm it again for 1 and a half years.

Personally I would say that you shouldnt relax your hair at all but.





NEVER perm your hair once a month. It is DEFINATELY stopping your growth and damaging your hair so much in the process.





since you've been relaxing it so much then i'd say wait at the least 3 more months until you get another one.


if you can. go for longer and deep condition at least once a week with an all natural conditioner (read the ingredients and make sure its natural) if thats too hard to find then just buy pure unrefined coconut oil.





if your going out then just invest in a flat iron but make sure you use something to protect the hair from the heat. and dont do it that often.





try rocking some braids for a while or something
