OMG! Are you trying to make your hair fall out? 40 volume is extremely extremely strong. I hardly ever use it on anyone! Especially for a whole head application. The best thing to turn black hair to blonde is 2 or 3 heavy highlight visits at your salon. Your hair has turned that color because you have removed the dye and exposed the NRP (natural remaining pigment). I would suggest you wait and go to a salon before you fry your hair!!!

It's really difficult to get your hair at a platinum blonde color. It's also going to seriously damage your hair. I suggest Herbal Essences Blonding or Clairol Born Blonde. And buy some serious conditioner unless you want your hair to be a total frizz ball for the next year!
