Make your hair lighter?

Is there any easy way to make my hair like 3 shades lighter at home? I dont wanna waste any money on dye, but I would prefer not to have to sit out in the sun for 6 hours... so just tell me ur tips or something. lol. Anything will do. I just want lighter hair.

I've heard that putting lemon juice in your hair and then sitting in the sun will help lighten it...haven't tried it, and I imaging you'd want to try to keep if off your scalp

sun in works good..its cheap and you can buy it at any drugstore and use it indoors with a blowdryer
Reply:Try "Sun In" or a similar product with your blow dryer. You can even do streaking or highlighting with it. Other than than, You have to use a product with peroxide to lighten your hair.
