What's the difference between a flat iron and a hair straightener?
Nothing. People call them different things. Some straighteners are small and thin so they can double as a curling iron (but the technique takes practice).

Reply:They are the same thing. Some people just use different terms. A lot of professionals call them flat-irons, as it sounds more proffesional.
Reply:nothing there the same people at salons call it flat iron so that they can up the price ... flat iron sounds more professional
Reply:No difference. People call them different names but it's the same device. It straightens your hair! I always think of a flat iron as a more old fashioned term.
